New York, NY — Macallan Capital Partners today announced a comprehensive evolution of the firm’s leadership structure and platform strategy, reflecting its continued expansion into a scaled, program-driven real estate investment banking and advisory firm following a strong and successful 2025.
The announcement formalizes a multi-year initiative to institutionalize Macallan’s operating model while preserving founder-led dealmaking, speed, and judgment. With the firm’s organizational architecture now established, Macallan enters 2026 positioned to support more complex mandates, broader sponsor profiles, and faster, more disciplined execution across the capital stack.
As part of this evolution, Macallan Capital Partners has appointed Laurent Ronald Gray as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, formalizing his role as the firm’s senior executive authority and primary driver of strategy, capital formation, and transaction execution.
A seasoned investment banker with more than four decades of experience across real estate and non-real estate sectors, Gray brings deep transactional judgment shaped by multiple market cycles. His career spans mortgage-backed securities at Salomon Brothers, the founding of a successful boutique investment banking firm, and decades of structuring complex transactions through periods of deregulation, market expansion, financial crisis, and recovery. Gray’s long tenure reflects a sustained ability to connect companies with capital, facilitate acquisitions, and advise businesses on growth in changing market environments, and has done so through the dot-com era, the 2008 financial crisis, and the post-crisis recovery.
As Chairman and CEO, Gray exercises active control over Macallan’s direction and dealmaking. The firm’s leadership structure and operating platform have been intentionally designed to scale his market engagement, supporting his continued involvement in originating, structuring, and executing transactions while maintaining a constant pulse on capital markets and sponsor dynamics.
“Macallan was built to solve problems that don’t fit neatly into boxes,” said Gray. “Over the last year, we’ve put the structure in place to scale responsibly. That allows me to stay focused where I create the most value, working directly with sponsors and capital partners to structure and execute transactions that require creativity, speed, and precision.”
As part of the firm’s evolution, Gray has appointed Marco Howington as President of Macallan Capital Partners. In this role, Howington oversees strategic planning, governmental and public relations, and development viability across the firm’s client and partner portfolio.
Howington brings over a decade of experience working with major banks, developers, and public agencies across the East Coast and the New York Metropolitan area. His background in entitlement strategy, municipal and state approvals, and regulatory navigation strengthens Macallan’s ability to align capital strategy with real-world development execution.
“Marco’s experience sits at the intersection of development, government, and capital,” Gray added. “His leadership ensures our capital solutions remain grounded in how projects actually get approved, built, and delivered.”
Supporting Macallan’s next phase of growth, Justin Madoff serves as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing the firm’s operational architecture, data-led investment systems, and internal platform development. Madoff’s mandate centers on clarity, speed, and system integrity, ensuring that technology enhances judgment rather than replaces it. His work spans underwriting infrastructure, due diligence workflows, internal analytics, and the disciplined deployment of AI-assisted tools across marketing, underwriting, and pattern detection.
Macallan also announced the formal launch of two programmatic investment banking initiatives designed to address structural gaps in the current market:
MCP Equity, led by Peter Feltman, Senior Managing Director, is a multi-industry equity advisory and investment platform spanning real estate and select operating businesses. Feltman brings more than 35 years of experience across private investment, portfolio management, and credit underwriting, including aviation, telecommunications, life insurance, and real estate, with a track record of underwriting and managing billions of dollars in complex institutional and private assets.
The High Yield Real Estate Program, led by Kevin Clark, addresses a critical gap in the market: smaller-balance real estate projects that require speed, flexibility, and certainty of execution but are often underserved by traditional institutional capital. With more than three decades of experience in private and hard money lending, Clark has originated billions of dollars in non-conforming commercial real estate loans.
Together, these leadership appointments and program launches reflect Macallan Capital Partners’ evolution into a fully integrated, programmatic investment banking platform, one that combines institutional structure, data-driven systems, and execution-oriented leadership while remaining firmly driven by active, founder-led judgment.
