New York, NY, January 6, 2026: Macallan Capital Partners today announced changes to its leadership structure and platform strategy following a strong 2025. The changes support the firm’s continued growth as an investment banking and advisory firm serving real estate sponsors and operating businesses.
The announcement completes a multi-year effort to build out Macallan’s operating model while keeping its dealmaking founder-led. With that structure in place, Macallan enters 2026 ready to take on more complex mandates, a broader range of sponsors and faster execution across the capital stack.
Laurent Ronald Gray, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Laurent Ronald Gray has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. The appointment formalizes his role as the firm’s senior executive and its lead on strategy, capital formation and transaction execution.
Gray is an investment banker with more than four decades of experience in real estate and other sectors. His career includes mortgage-backed securities at Salomon Brothers, founding a boutique investment banking firm, and structuring transactions through the dot-com era, the 2008 financial crisis and the recovery that followed. Throughout, his work has centered on connecting companies with capital, facilitating acquisitions and advising businesses on growth.
As Chairman and CEO, Gray remains directly involved in Macallan’s direction and its transactions. The firm’s structure is built so he can keep originating, structuring and executing deals while staying close to capital markets and sponsors.

Marco Howington, President
Gray has also appointed Marco Howington, Co-Founder, as President of Macallan Capital Partners. Howington oversees strategic planning and development viability across the firm’s client portfolio, along with government and public relations.
Howington has more than a decade of experience working with major banks, developers and public agencies along the East Coast and in the New York metropolitan area. His background in entitlement strategy, municipal and state approvals, and regulatory matters helps Macallan align capital strategy with development execution.

Justin Madoff, Chief Operating Officer
Justin Madoff serves as Chief Operating Officer, overseeing operations, data systems and internal platform development. His work covers underwriting infrastructure, due diligence workflows, internal analytics and the use of AI-assisted tools in marketing, underwriting and pattern detection, with the goal of supporting judgment rather than replacing it.
MCP Equity
Macallan also announced the launch of MCP Equity, a multi-industry equity advisory and investment platform covering real estate and select operating businesses. MCP Equity is led by Peter Feltman, Senior Managing Director, who brings more than 35 years of experience in private investment, portfolio management and credit underwriting across aviation, telecommunications, life insurance and real estate.
Together, these appointments and the launch of MCP Equity position Macallan to operate at greater scale while keeping its transactions led by the people who founded the firm.
