Macallan Capital Partners and Versailles Capital Merge to Launch Dedicated Hospitality Investment Banking Platform

Strategic combination unites Macallan’s institutional capital markets franchise with Versailles’ hospitality advisory, franchise, and M&A expertise, bringing more than two decades of sector experience under a single, purpose-built platform.

NEW YORK, April 27, 2026. Macallan Partners LLC (“Macallan”) and Versailles Capital (“Versailles”) today announced the completion of their merger, establishing a dedicated hospitality investment banking practice within the Macallan platform. Operating under the Versailles St. Germain holding company, an organization with more than 20 years of operating history, Versailles Capital will serve as Macallan’s hospitality arm, advising hotel owners, operators, and sponsors across offices in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Newport, Rhode Island.

The combined platform brings together Versailles’ specialized capabilities in capital placement, franchise advisory, and acquisitions with Macallan’s institutional capital markets engine. The result is a single point of access to debt, equity, joint venture, C-PACE, and strategic advisory solutions purpose-built for the hospitality sector.

Strategic Rationale

The merger is designed to deliver three core advantages to clients. First, sector depth: Versailles’ hospitality-native team brings franchise advisory and M&A expertise anchored by more than two decades of experience under the Versailles St. Germain umbrella. Second, capital breadth: hospitality sponsors gain access to Macallan’s institutional relationships spanning senior debt, mezzanine, structured debt, direct equity, joint ventures, programmatic partnerships, and C-PACE. Third, execution certainty: by integrating capital structuring with entitlement and regulatory strategy, the combined platform compresses timelines from engagement to close.

Leadership Perspectives

“The hospitality industry deserves an advisory partner that combines deep sector knowledge with genuine capital markets firepower. That is exactly what this merger delivers. We built Versailles to speak the language of hotel owners and operators: capital, franchise, and M&A under one senior-led roof. Combining that with Macallan’s 300-plus institutional relationships and full-stack execution platform gives our clients something very few firms in hospitality can offer. With the Versailles St. Germain heritage behind us, this is the culmination of more than 20 years of building toward this moment.”

Joseph Cua, President, Versailles Capital

“Joseph and I founded Versailles Capital because we saw a real gap in the market. Hospitality sponsors are navigating increasingly complex transactions without a truly dedicated advisory team in their corner. Merging Versailles into Macallan allows us to apply the same rigor, speed, and precision to a $5 million hotel recapitalization that others reserve for $500 million portfolio trades, and to pair that execution with the franchise and M&A expertise that hotel sponsors actually need.”

Laurent Ronald Gray, Chairman-CEO, Macallan Capital Partners

“Versailles’ footprint plugs directly into the regions where hospitality capital is most active today. Integrating their advisory bench with our debt, equity, C-PACE, and entitlement capabilities, all backed by the track record of the Versailles St. Germain organization, gives clients a genuinely full-stack offering under one roof.”

Justin Madoff, Chief Operating Officer, Macallan Capital Partners

Leadership & Integration

Joseph Cua will lead the hospitality investment banking practice, as its President, within the Macallan platform. Laurent Ronald Gray continues as CEO-Chairman of Macallan Capital Partners, and Justin Madoff continues as Chief Operating Officer. The Versailles team will serve clients from existing offices in New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, and Newport, Rhode Island, now operating under the Macallan banner. All existing client engagements and mandates will transition without interruption.
